Heya,

Few weeks ago I added a post presenting pictures from our photoshoot with beautiful Gabi and the most talented photographer I have ever met – Piotr from pcpa.eu:

wingsofenvy make-up tutorial pin-up inspired final

Today, I’d like to show you how I achieved that look. Here is a close-up of Gabi’s make up:

  • EYES:

Step 1:
Prime your eyes. Use a nude / white pencil on your waterline. Apply a matte beige eyeshadow on the inner part of your eyelid.

Step 2:
Apply a brown eyeshadow on to the outer part of your eyelid and blend it with the beige. Apply the same shade just above the socket line. Blend it upwards. Add matte beige as a highlight color on the brow bone. Take a clean blending brush and blend everything together.

Step 3:
Use a light brown eye pencil underneath the eye and set it with light matte brown eyeshadow. Apply a matte beige shade to the inner part of your lower lash line to open up your eye.

Step 4:
Line your upper lash line with a gel liner. Wing the liner (connect it with crease color). Apply lashes and finish off with mascara. Fill in your brows.

  • FACE:

Step 1:
Apply your favourite moisturizer and wait few minutes. Then, apply a face primer. For photo friendly make up, choose a foundation with no or very low SPF to avoid flash backs. Conceal your dark circles and blemishes. Make sure your under eye concealer has no SPF in it as well. Set everything with powder.

Step 2:
Contour your face with a bronzer. Add blusher and highlighter. Blend everything together – it’s very important! Face should look flawless. You may want to set the make-up with setting spray.

Step 3:
Line your lips with nude / pink-ish pencil and apply pale pink lipstick. Add a lip gloss if you wish.

And… done!

I do prefer spending few more minutes in bed in the morning to getting up earlier and having plenty of time to do my full face and eyes make-up. Around 10 minutes for make-up application should be enough. It’s time for something easy-to-do.

How to achieve this look? It’s pretty simple! Follow our step by step tutorial.

Step 1:
Prime your eyes. Use a black pencil on your waterline. Apply a matte white eyeshadow (more on the translucent side than opaque) on the inner part of your eyelid. Apply a pink eyeshadow on to the outer part of your eyelid and blend it with the white. Use a light brown eye pencil underneath the eye.

Step 2:
Apply a shade of brown mixed with lilac just above the socket line.

Step 3:
Blend it upwards. Add highlight color on the brow bone. You may use shimmer or matte eyeshadow depending on your own preference (I used the matte base eyeshadow). Take a clean blending brush and blend everything together to get a smooth transition between colors.

Step 4:
Apply mix of brown and purple eyeshadows underneath the eye (where you used light brown eye pencil). Line your upper lash line with a gel liner. Apply lashes if you want and finish off with mascara.

Valentine’s Day does not have to be all about red or pink! Here is our make-up proposal:

How to achieve this look? It’s pretty simple! Follow our step by step tutorial.

Step 1:
Prime your eyes. The primer will ensure a better eyeshadow’s application and a longer stay. Follow up with applying a base eyeshadow (matte color similar to your skin complexion). Use a black pencil on your waterline. Apply a yellow gold eyeshadow on the inner part of your eyelid. Use a deep blue shade underneath the eye (outer part) and mix it with a green-ish shade (I used deep minty shade with golden sparkles). Remember to accent your inner part of lower lashline with the same yellow gold eyeshadow you used on your lid. Apply a small dot of a light shimmer eyeshadow by the tear duct.

Step 2:
Mix the deep blue shade with lilac and apply it on the outer corner of your eye. Connect it with lower line.

Step 3:
Blend the shade of blue mixed with lilac upwards and add a brown eyeshadow (just above the socket line). Add highlight color on the brow bone. You may use shimmer or matte eyeshadow depending on your own preference (I used the matte base eyeshade). Take a clean blending brush and blend everything together to get a smooth transition between colors.

Step 4:
Line your upper lash line with a gel liner. Apply lashes if you want and finish off with mascara. Add golden beads if you want and you are ready for your Valentine’s Day dinner!

It’s time for quick, easy, yet colorful eye make-up tutorial! It goes with all color eyes, and can really dress up a simple outfit.

1. Prime your eyes. The primer will ensure a better eyeshadow’s application and a longer stay. Follow up with applying a base eyeshadow (matte color similar to your skin complexion).

2. Apply a light minty eyeshadow with golden sparkles on the inner corner of the eye. Add an orange eyeshadow and blend it with pink. Take a warm purple eyeshadow and apply it on the outer corner of your eye. You may want to mix it with a brown shade to warm up the look.

3. Blend the same shade of brown upwards (just above the socket line). Add highlight color on the brow bone. You may use shimmer or matte eyeshadow depending on your own preference.

4. Take a clean blending brush and blend everything together to get a smooth transition between colors.

5. Use a deep purple shade underneath the eye (outer part) and mix it with the same warm purple shade you used on your lid. Remember to accent your inner part of lower lashline with the minty eyeshadow. Apply a small dot of a light shimmer eyeshadow by the tear duct.

6. Line your upper lash line with a gel liner and wing it out slightly. Apply some black shadow on top of the liner to soften it and make it matte.

7. Use a black pencil on your waterline.

8. Apply lashes if you want and finish off with mascara.
